Seasoned campaigner or never sailed before? As the title suggests we are looking for Crew!

There are a number of crew postions depending on the event.

For more detailed information about what goes on on a racing yacht check out this article Crew Positions 101

If we do not have crew for racing on the weekend and its a nice day, Morgs and I commonly take of for a lap around Pittwater or Lion Island. You are welcome to join us. It is a great way to familiarise yourself with the boat, in particular if you plan on going racing. Otherwise it is a chilled out introduction to sailing for first timers.

We also plan to host a number of 'special events' such as heading down to watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race on Boxing Day and for other events on Sydney Harbour.

We will also do some crew familiarisation, race training and safety days in the leadup to any Offshore Racing Events.

Cruising events will be in the calendar and you can signup just like normal racing days.

Twilight Racing

Twilight racing is a great introduction to yacht racing. It is far from serious with most crews just happy to be out on the water, it is common to race "one handed' with a drink in one hand if the wind is light, which it commonly is around sunset in Summer. We need a minimum of 2 to enter but 4 is more relaxing. On the upside we can (and do) take up to 12 people for a ride.

Some of the slightly unorthodox crew positions we need for this include;  'catering manager', 'wind whisperer" and 'chief photographer'.

Racing Inshore (weekend)

Weekend racing in Pittwater, Broken Bay or Sydney Harbour. Experience preferred - ideally a couple of Twilight races is recommended. On some boats weekend racing is typically a little more serious than twilight racing but we are still just looking to learn the boat and have fun at this stage, so don't worry there will be no yelling and screaming on H.A.! We need a minimum of 4 -6 depending on experience but again 8 is ideal.

Racing - Offshore (Weekend)

Experience is recommended. All the crew should ideally have racing experience offshore but at least in Twilight or weekend inshore racing.  Conditions will be significantly bumpier than Inshore, understanding if you get seasick by doing the inshore races first is a good plan. For day racing offshore we need min 6 - ideally 8 people.
